Waverley Care - Charity partnership
We have been partnered with Waverley Care, Scotland’s HIV and Hepatitis C charity, since 2019 and were delighted to have entered into a new three-year partnership with them in 2022.
Waverley Care focuses on prevention, education, testing, and support. Throughout Scotland, they are reducing new HIV and Hepatitis C infections, getting people diagnosed and supporting those affected in whatever ways they need. Through this work, they are also challenging HIV and Hepatitis C related stigma, tackling health inequalities and promoting good sexual health. Scotland aims to be one of the first countries to reach zero new HIV transmissions by 2030, and Waverley Care is playing a pivotal role in helping to achieve this.
We are proud to have raised over £30,000 for Waverley Care through various fundraising activities. These include:
- Cycling and walking 145 miles from Edinburgh to Aberdeen;
- The Hadrian’s Wall challenge;
- Bucket shaking at Edinburgh Fringe Festival.
