Waverley Care - Charity partnership
We have been partnered with Waverley Care, Scotland’s HIV and Hepatitis C charity, since 2019 and are delighted to have entered into a new three-year partnership with them until December 2025.
Waverley Care focuses on prevention, education, testing, and support. Throughout Scotland, they are reducing new HIV and Hepatitis C infections, getting people diagnosed and supporting those affected in whatever ways they need. Through this work, they are also challenging HIV and Hepatitis C related stigma, tackling health inequalities and promoting good sexual health. Scotland aims to be one of the first countries to reach zero new HIV transmissions by 2030, and Waverley Care is playing a pivotal role in helping to achieve this.
From 2019 to 2022, we are proud to have raised £28,922.85 for Waverley Care through various fundraising activities. These include:
- bucket shaking at Edinburgh Fringe Festival;
- walking over 58 miles at the Kiltwalk;
- cycling from Newcastle to Edinburgh – an epic 176 miles
