We have now updated the Quote New Business Protection Standard v3.11 to a Provisional Build 2.
Currently, during the quotation process, individuals are asked a simple yes/no question to identify if they smoke. The revised Standard allows for a more granular approach to the non-smoker community and includes additional smoker information to identify if the individual has ever smoked. If the answer is ‘Yes’ then the date they last smoked is captured (MMYYYY).
This version builds on the FCA Firm Reference Number related changes, which were published in March 2021 as Provisional Build 1.
