Process and Standards Group (PSG)
The PSG last met virtually on 8 November 2023 and more details of the last PSG meeting and full minutes can be found here.
The Group’s next plenary meeting is on 7 February 2024.
Standards Technical Architecture Group (STAG)
Criterion is looking to establish a meeting with the STAG to discuss API architecture and implementations.
Full details will be shared with the STAG in early 2024.
Standards projects
Occupation Codes List Update
Update Implementation Group
Supporting industry adoption of the revised occupation codes standard used in quotations and new business processes.
The latest Occupation Codes List are available here.
A meeting was held in December 2023 to review current development plans.
Future Milestones - February 2024
Further liaison with the Group to track progress towards implementation.
Group Risk Quotes and Placement
Project to develop Standards for Group Risk Quotes (GRQ); similar Re-Pricing and Rate Review processes; and Placement.
The GRQ JSON and OpenAPI Standards for GLA for New Business, Rate Review and Re-Pricing Draft A were published in December 2023.
The GRQ GLA Draft A OpenAPI and JSON Standards were published here and a meeting was held with the Working Group on 31 January to review the Standards documents. Comments on the BRD were received and discussed with actions agreed which will require a further version of the BRD and updates to the Draft A GRQ GLA Standards.
Analysis for the Placement process has been carried out internally with a domain model produced.
Criterion is assessing industry implementation plans and a series of one-to-one calls have been carried out and the output from these will be discussed at the February PSG meeting to determine next steps.
Future Milestones - February
- GRQ GLA BRD to be updated following receipt of late comments.
- Updates to the Draft A GRQ GLA OpenAPI (JSON) Standards will be applied.
- Deliberation at the PSG to confirm what further development activity will follow.
Protection Policy Retention
Develop standards supporting communication to advisers and other distributors of events in relation to protection policies that might put at risk continuing cover.
Progress
- Updated Business Requirements Document issued for Sign Off.
- Candidate Design Document issued.
- Meeting held for initial discussion of Candidate Design document.
Future Milestone - February
- Further discussion of Candidate Design to agree Solution Design.
- Plan activities following solution design.
BAU Change Requests
Ongoing activity in relation to maintenance of current Standards via change management process.
Progress
- List of potential CRs resulting from abolition of Lifetime Allowance (LTA) prepared and issued to PSG for consideration and their meeting on 7 February 2024.
- Criterion recommendation will be to publish solutions for CRs but not incorporate into Standards until business need to do so.
Future Milestone - February
- Obtain PSG agreement to recommended approach for documentation of CRs and solutions during Q2.
