The Criterion team has been hard at work, training for our upcoming challenge to raise money for Waverley Care.
The challenge
Spanning over three days, the Criterion team will commence the challenge with a 19-mile walk from the historic Edinburgh castle to Dunfermline. Day two will see them transition to cycling as they pedal a challenging 62-mile route from Dunfermline all the way to Carnoustie. Finally, on day three, the team will embark on a 64-mile cycling leg from Carnoustie to Aberdeen.
Siobhan Cameron, Fundraising Assistant at Waverley Care:
We are delighted that Criterion is taking on another impressive challenge in aid of Waverley Care. Walking and cycling 141 miles from Edinburgh to Aberdeen is no small task, and we are so grateful to Criterion for another year of incredible support from its team and to everyone who donates to their cause.
Who is Waverley Care?
Waverley Care is a leading HIV charity based in Edinburgh dedicated to raising awareness, increasing testing, and tackling the stigma surrounding HIV. The charity provides a range of services to people living with or affected by HIV, including support groups, counselling, and testing. It also works to promote awareness and understanding of HIV and to combat discrimination and prejudice. It recently launched its #GetToZero campaign, which is aimed at helping the Scottish government reach its goal of eradicating HIV in Scotland by 2030.
Isabella Henricks, Fundraising Assistant at Waverley Care:
Criterion's support for Waverley Care is vital in helping Scotland #GetToZero. Every donation raised by the incredible Criterion team will help us end HIV transmission in Scotland by 2030. Just £10 could provide someone with a Rapid result HIV test, £15 could provide a taxi for a service user to attend healthcare appointments, and £50 could run a peer support group for people living with HIV to combat stigma and isolation. Thank you for the positive impact you are making to so many people in the community.
