The Criterion team has undertaken another charity challenge, to raise money for Waverley Care. The challenge consisted of over 145 miles from Edinburgh to Aberdeen across three days:
- Day one – Edinburgh to Dunfermline (19 miles) – walk
- Day two – Dunfermline to Carnoustie (62 miles) – cycle
- Day three - Carnoustie to Aberdeen (65 miles) – cycle
During these days, the team faced torrential rain, intense head winds, and steep inclines. However, with the help of our support team, we were able to complete the challenge and raise an amazing £7,000, with Criterion matching.
This money has contributed towards 850 rapid HIV testing kits, 375 HIV testing clinics in the community, and 150 support sessions to combat stigma and isolation.
Billy Burnside, Managing Director:
It was a gruelling three days, but despite the harsh weather conditions and physical demands, we persevered as a team and were able to finish the challenge together and raise an incredible amount of money for Waverley Care. A huge thank you to all our sponsors and supporters, whose generosity and encouragement made this achievement possible.
Siobhan Cameron, Fundraising Assistant at Waverley Care:
We are so proud of team Criterion for their incredible Coast and Castles challenge in support of Waverley Care! Their determination and teamwork were outstanding as always, and we are blown away by how much they have raised. Their efforts will change the lives of people living with, or are at risk of, HIV in Scotland. Thank you, thank you, thank you!
Thank you to everyone who sponsored and supported us.
