Waverley Care began its partnership with Pleasance Theatre Trust at the Fringe festival in August 1992, 30 years ago, when it was a small, local charity in Edinburgh. Today, Waverley Care now support people living with HIV and Hepatitis C across the whole of Scotland. Its goal is to ensure that nobody has to face HIV and Hepatitis alone.
Due to Covid-19, it has been two years since Waverley Care has been able to physically raise money at the Fringe festival – making this year even more important.
The Criterion team (Alistair, Fiona and Lisa) were out bucket shaking at Pleasance, raising an incredible £1,297.02. We want to extend a huge thank you to everyone who donated at the Fringe. We are also delighted to announce that Criterion will match the money raised, taking our grand total to £2,594.04.
In one month, the Criterion team will embark on a 176-mile cycle from Newcastle to Edinburgh to raise money for Waverley Care. If you would like to support the work that Waverley Care does, please consider sponsoring the team. We would be so grateful for any donations you could spare – thank you in advance.
